Even when it's just because you got a black eye! This weekend brought a weird little surprise. I was out on a shoot in Greensboro, NC. After I finished photographing Tona we all decided to have lunch together. We parked the car and were walking to the restaurant. I noticed I had an email I needed to tend to so I was emailing and walking (never a good thing). I walked around the corner and was immediately startled! I had blood dripping from my face and was disoriented while I was trying to figure out what happened. There is an antique shop on the corner and they decided to hang two very large, wooden birdhouses in the middle of the sidewalk. Well, one of these gems met my face and left me with a gash in my eye lid and a colorful black eye! A nice stranger gave me some Kleenex and joked and asked if my model hit me. We went inside I got my eye sorted and we enjoyed a lunch together. I'm thankful my awesome clients were able to laugh about it with me and thankful I was able to laugh at myself.
