Diamonds are a girls best friend

Flowers, furniture, jewelry, or a cold beverage were our options to choose from for our most recent assignment in my advertising photography class. I knew immediately that I wanted to photograph my friend Sam's engagement ring. This was the first time in a while that I really enjoyed shooting a still life image. Maybe it's because I took the macro approach but I love the dreamy, romantic feeling that I accomplished in this image and the extremely shallow depth of field. Thanks to Sam for letting me photograph your beautiful ring!!
